At Carmeuse Tunisia, we firmly believe that a company’s success is built on its people. While technical expertise is essential, strong interpersonal relationships, teamwork, and employee well-being are equally important drivers of long-term performance.
With this vision in mind, we organized a new edition of our Health Day, an event designed to raise awareness about health while strengthening the bonds between colleagues through engaging team-building activities.
This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering a corporate culture based on prevention, collaboration, and team spirit.
A Morning Dedicated to Health Awareness and Prevention
The day began with an informative session led by Dr. Lilia Masmoudi, Pulmonologist, focusing on an important public health issue: the harmful effects of smoking.
Through an engaging and interactive presentation, participants gained a better understanding of the impact of tobacco on the respiratory system, the risks associated with both active and passive smoking, and the benefits of adopting a healthier lifestyle. The session also provided an opportunity for open discussions, allowing employees to ask questions and reinforce the importance of prevention in the workplace.
Following the presentation, Dr. Lilia offered individual consultations to employees who smoke. These confidential one-on-one sessions allowed participants to discuss their personal situation, receive tailored medical advice, and benefit from personalized guidance to help them reduce or quit smoking.
By combining collective awareness with individualized support, this initiative demonstrates Carmeuse Tunisia’s commitment to promoting the health and well-being of its employees. Supporting our people also means empowering them to adopt healthier habits and protect their long-term health.

Team Building: Strengthening Relationships Beyond the Workplace
After the health awareness session, it was time for action.
The afternoon was entirely dedicated to team building, with one clear objective: creating opportunities for employees to connect outside the workplace and strengthen team cohesion.
Participants were divided into two teams and challenged through a series of fun, engaging, and collaborative activities. More than a friendly competition, these challenges were designed to encourage communication, mutual support, trust, and cooperation among colleagues.
Each activity required participants to combine their ideas, skills, and strengths to achieve a common goal, reinforcing the importance of teamwork and collective problem-solving.
Team Challenges Where Collaboration Made the Difference
Throughout the afternoon, employees took part in a variety of team-based activities in a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere.
Some of the day’s highlights included:
- Fowling, a unique game that combines elements of bowling with a rugby ball, requiring precision, coordination, and strategy;
- Archery, which challenged participants’ concentration, self-control, and ability to encourage one another;
- The Caterpillar Challenge, a team coordination game where synchronization and communication were key to success;
- XO, a collaborative strategy game that required planning, communication, and quick decision-making;
- along with several other team challenges specifically designed to encourage cooperation, creativity, and team spirit.

As the activities unfolded, laughter, encouragement, and shared moments of enjoyment filled the day. The energetic facilitation created a welcoming atmosphere where everyone actively participated and contributed to the success of the event.
Away from offices, meetings, and daily routines, employees had the opportunity to discover new sides of one another, reveal hidden talents, and create lasting memories together.
Building Stronger Teams Through Shared Experiences
The true purpose of the day was never about determining a winning team, but rather about strengthening the relationships that unite Carmeuse Tunisia employees.
Today, team building has become a powerful tool for developing stronger workplace relationships. It promotes better communication, encourages collaboration across departments, and helps build a culture of trust.
When colleagues get to know each other beyond their day-to-day professional roles, they naturally develop stronger listening skills, greater mutual support, and deeper respect for one another. These values carry over into everyday work, leading to smoother collaboration and increased collective performance.
By creating opportunities for employees to connect in an informal setting, Carmeuse Tunisia continues to foster a workplace where everyone feels included, valued, and supported.
A Corporate Culture Focused on Employee Well-being
Our Health Day perfectly reflects Carmeuse Tunisia’s vision of making workplace well-being a key driver of sustainable performance.
Promoting employee health, encouraging meaningful interactions, strengthening team cohesion, and creating positive shared experiences are all essential elements in building a more supportive and people-centered workplace.
Because a united team is more innovative, more engaged, and better equipped to overcome challenges, Carmeuse Tunisia will continue to invest in initiatives that strengthen its corporate culture and nurture team spirit.
Above all, this Health Day will be remembered as a day filled with learning, laughter, solidarity, and meaningful connections once again proving that the greatest achievements are those we accomplish together.
