As part of its commitment to sustainable development and following a partnership agreement with ATSER, Carmeuse Tunisia recently hosted a road safety awareness event as part of its broader Sustainability Program.
This initiative aimed to strengthen a culture of safety and responsible road behavior among all stakeholders, including employees, children, and the local community.
Training for Employees: Driving Responsibly Starts at Work
The first phase of the campaign focused on a training session for all employees at the CMT plant. The session covered safe driving practices, road-related risks, and the ethical responsibilities of being a conscientious road user.
Educating the Next Generation
At the same time, a fun and educational workshop was held for children at the Chenchou primary school. The goal was to raise awareness about road hazards through age-appropriate activities helping young learners adopt safe behaviors from an early age.
Taking the Message to the Streets
To reach an even wider audience, Carmeuse Tunisia’s team also took part in a public awareness campaign. Safety leaflets were handed out to road users, sharing essential tips to encourage safer and more respectful driving habits.
A Collective Commitment to Safer Roads
This event is a key part of Carmeuse Tunisia’s social responsibility strategy, which focuses on taking concrete action to protect people and promote a safer environment. Through its partnership with ATSER, the company reaffirms its commitment to making road safety a shared priority.
