Linked to SDG 4 (Quality Education), being one of the 4 SDGs elected by Carmeuse Overseas for the 2021 Agenda, Carmeuse Lime Products Ghana (CLP) continues to actively participate in the National Service Scheme of the Government of Ghana. Under this scheme, we offer the opportunity for graduating students to work with CLP for a period of 12 months.
The students joining the company under this scheme will get hands-on experience on what they have studied in school and it prepares them for the working life. We are currently employing 6 students under this scheme, being 3 in Engineering, 1 in Production, 1 in Sales and 1 in Admin. Year after year, interest from students and schools is increasing and we welcome this as we wish to contribute to the Educational growth of these students.
As a company committed to harnessing, developing and empowering skilled manpower, we have used this initiative to unearth many potentials for the benefit of the company, the community, and the nation at large.
The successes achieved with this Program is enormous as we have seen some lucky exemplary personnel been retained and offered employment after the successful completion of this Program. To all beneficiaries of this program, we say ‘Ayekoo’ (congratulations).
