On February 21st, Carmeuse Senegal hosted its very first Open Day event. We extended invitations to seven schools, welcoming them to explore the inner workings of our plant. The primary objective was to orient students and job-seekers, providing them with first hand knowledge of the profiles involved in our industry. For those aspiring to work in this field, the Open Day offered a glimpse into their potential future roles.
Beyond the plant tour, we actively sought to forge partnerships with training schools—a strategic move to meet our future recruitment needs. Additionally, we conducted training sessions on essential skills, covering personal and professional development, as well as effective job search techniques.
The aim of this activity was to orient students and job-seekers by presenting the profiles involved on site for those who want to work in the industry in the future.
The day was highly interactive, with enthusiastic students asking lots of questions. We consider it a resounding success and look forward to future editions.
