It is time to share how Carmeuse Tunisie, the latest location to enter the Carmeuse Overseas family, has taken on the challenge to integrate sustainability into their daily life.
We introduced our 2021 Agenda to them in October as part of the ‘onboarding’ process and we asked the team to prepare their actions for 2022. We are proud to announce that Carmeuse Tunisie did not wait for 2022, but took it upon themselves to already work on sustainability in 2021.
An educational session was organized on 7 December 2021 with a nutritional expert, explaining to the staff the benefits of healthy nutrition. They are also growing their own vegetables in and around the plant, which are used to prepare a healthy daily lunch.
Carmeuse Tunisie also encourages the staff to practice sports, and several sport activities are organized such as football matches and jogging.
Furthermore, the team planted 54 trees around the production site.
We look forward to seeing more of the sustainability journey of Carmeuse Tunisie, and our other locations in 2022.
