Handyman’s Lime Limited (HLL) is a leading quicklime producer in Zambia, located in Masaiti District. Established to utilise the region’s rich limestone deposits, HLL supports key sectors including mining, construction, agriculture, and water treatment through the production of high-quality quicklime using modern technology.
Managed by Carmeuse since July 1, 2017, HLL operates a 600‑ton‑per‑day quicklime plant supplied by its sister limestone quarry, Astro Quarries Limited (AQL). The company supplies major mining operations in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and the Democratic Republic of Congo, helping reduce reliance on lime imports and contributing to local industrial growth and employment.
