At the start of the COVID-19 epidemic, 3 Plants from Carmeuse Overseas took it upon themselves to sponsor various schools, clinics and villages, in their fight against the Coronavirus.

Carmeuse Lime Products in Ghana reached out to hospitals and communities in their area. They financed a much-needed ventilator for the Effia Nkwanta regional hospital, financed PPE wear for the Essikado Government Hospital and donated face masks and sanitizers to the communities in their area.

Chaux de la Teranga in Senegal donated masks, soap and gloves to their local Healthcare Centre, Centre de Sante Popenguine.  They arranged for doctors to address the staff at the plant to raise consciousness about the rules and safety measures around COVID-19.

Handyman’s Lime in Zambia provided face masks and sanitizes for 34 schools in the Kafulafuta constituency.  A further 3 700 face masks were donated to schools in the Masaiti District and 4 000 face masks were donated to the surrounding communities.
