Carmeuse liaison office in Guinea opened in January 2021. It is enlarging Carmeuse Overseas network in West Africa by getting closer to our potential clients in this country. The office is in Conakry and is managed by David Bangoura, who has extensive experience in the mining sector in Guinea.
Guinea is very rich in terms of natural resources, including gold and bauxite. Guinea has the largest world reserves of bauxite and is the second largest exporter. There are already several gold mines and one alumina refinery. More and more, projects in the gold and alumina refinery are being developed in Guinea, with the goal to start operations in the very near future.
Our presence in Guinea is therefore of great strategical importance to follow up new mining projects and be ready to offer the Carmeuse solutions for the supply of lime products.
